THE SCIENTIST TRYING TO REVERSE EXTINCTIONS

Part of ESPN FILM’s The Collectors series, following Dr. Michael Archer to the fossil fields of central Australia, the wilds of Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain and the palaeontology and CRISPR labs of the University of New South Whales, as he ponders the moral and ethical implications of the pursuit of de-extinction, as well as his and his colleagues own breakthrough pioneering efforts to clone the extinct Tasmanian tiger back to life from extracted ancient DNA.
